Spin off to best shipping confirmation ever
Last night we were wrapping presents. I ordered Dd a canopy. It came in a large box, so we opened it and inside the packing box they sent us a granola bar and coupons along with the product we ordered. Can I just say how happy we were to get the granola bar. DH and I were both like they knew we would want a snack while wrapping presents. What a great add on. So thanks hearth song. It was really appreciated.

Spin off to best shipping confirmation ever
My husband orders random little parts from ebay sellers or small companies all the time and aside from getting the wrong stuff often, he's gotten some pretty random freebies thrown in. Most memorable was one of those banana slicers that has really hysterical reviews on amazon.

The nail polish company I adore (Vapid Lacquer) sends fun size candy and teeny plastic animals in their packages.
I my last box I got a tiny Falcor!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And also a sample of their lotion bars that they'll be releasing in the spring.
Love little surprises like that.

way back when online shopping was new:
Amazon (when it was just books) always put random little things in their packages. I got magnets, post-it notes, chip clips, pens, etc.

When I order from GermanDeli.com, they throw in small packages of mini gummy bears.
Makes me smile like a kid.
