Speech evaluation for 2 year old?
Does anyone know how I can get my 2 year old tested through the school? We are Sachem SD. Thanks

I believe e you go through early intervention until they're 3. After that you would go through the school district.

DS was 21 months when we had him evaluated for speech. We go through EI and are also Sachem SD.

The first step is to contact Suffolk dept of health. You have a meeting with them, they give you a list of EI centers, you choose one and call them to schedule an eval, then another meeting with DOH to tell you what services will be given. Then you schedule the therapy with the EI center.
