My DH does a ton of handyman jobs on the side, spackling being one of the things he does.
Not that I'm biased, but he really does a terrific job. He has plenty of references. Let me know if you would like his number.
We're in Suffolk as well.

I HIGHLY recommend Tony! We found him sitting in traffic. His work van pulled up next to our car and I called the number. He was honest, professional, and fairly priced. He doesn't even have to use sandpaper. He has been a spackler for 20 years...its like an art form for him. Good Luck!
