Spa Treatments

Does anyone know if I can go for a facial and massage at the beginning of my 2nd trimester.

My DH (or should I say DD) gave me a Gift Cert to a spa for mother's day and I never used it. It's going to expire before I give birth so I figured I should go before I can't lay on my tummy anymore

facial is ok thru out pg. massage- as long as it is a maternity massage which theyhave to be trained to give is fine after 1st trimester.

I had a facial and im 33 weeks, beware if you have heartburn,. you have to lay down for a while...i went to t carlton and it was amazing, my hubby got me a day of beauty but i split it up instead...a whole day was just too long for me...if you want a massage u need a dr note

You can get a pregnancy massage now that your in your 2nd Trimester! You can get facials too, but make sure to tell the esthitician that your pg -- they can't use certain chemicals and peels on preggo skin.

I got both in both my second and third trimesters. As for the massage, that early I have to say I noticed not difference between prenatal and regular massage. Just make sure you don't get a deep tissue. That is the one thing I have been told you need to avoid.
