Never went. But Cat Greenleaf(channel 4 news) did a segment on the spa. I think it was done about a year ago.

I didnt see many kids there. There are some areas they might like (big lounge chairs with tvs, relaxing area for sleeping). I'm sure they can go in the pools, but there isnt anything there for kids, that i can remember.

oh and be prepared.. you first go in the locker room to change into their required clothing and everyone walks around nekked.

Oh wow, what kinda clothing do they make you wear? Do you have to walk around naked? or are there changing rooms?
It said kids under 2 are free, so i figured there may be other kids there.
What day of the week did you go?
We thought maybe on monday it wouldnt be to packed

Re: Spa Castle in College Point..anyone been?

My BFF loves this place and I went with her once. I was a bit underwhelmed by it, but did enjoy it overall.

I also got VERYYYY sick a day or two after I went and the slight germophobe in me kept wondering if using all the public areas had anything to do with it, lol.

But they have a number of saunas, a relaxing area, a small food court with healthy and tasty items. The best part for me was the pools up on the top floor - indoor and outdoor. Might be too chilly to do the outdoor ones, but they have a small indoor whirlpool type one.

I didn't like that the bath areas were open - not at all - so if any of you are like that, you might want to shower when you get home. I got lucky and showered quickly in one of the shower rooms that happened to be empty.

Bring a bathing suit if you want to use any of the pools.

They give you "scrub" like clothes to wear in the spa, you just leave your clothes, shoes etc. in your locker and change into that.

HTH!

ETA: I didn't see not one child when I was there. I went in the afternoon and evening on a Friday I believe.

They make you wear shorts and a tshirt (bright orange and pink). We wore our bathing suits underneath (we changed in the stalls, not out in the open lol).
We went on a Sat evening. It was busy but still fun, never had to wait for anything.
