Southwest Airlines....Infant Fare?
i called to get the infant fare on a flight and it was more than the adult online price by alot! i thought it was supposed to be cheaper
anyone experience anything like that? or was it a mistake and i should call back and speak to someone else?

is this for the baby to have its own seat or be on your lap? I would just go with the baby on your lap- I thought the airlines didnt charge for that

I got that as well.. we decided to just have my ds on our lap, he is only 18 months and its a short flight. I think there was a way though that if you tell them you already booked your flight and then add your dc afterwards that they would honor that price. Not sure if that was the way they said to do it but I remember them saying something about getting they price you paid for the adult seats..

i was going to get her own seat...she will be 20 months when we fly. i contemplated putting her on my lap but shes active now....no way will she sit in my lap for 3 hours lol
i just assumed when i saw they offered 'infant fare' it would be at a discount...guess not!

It's probably cheaper than the fare they would quote an adult if you called and made your reservations (since internet fares tend to be cheaper).

we just bought 3 tickets from southwest (internet fare). i didn't see anything that said infant fare - just a regular price (2 and up) and senior fare.

The infant fare is not discounted and can only be purchased by calling customer service.
