South Shore
Looking for a little clam bar type place on the water for girls nght. Nothing fancy or too expensive. Suffolk south shore.

Check out Bay Shore.. Fatfish is right on the water. If not, I just tried Salt & Barrell on Main Street and it was super cute.

These ^ are regular restaurants. Sounds like you're looking for one of those real casual, picnic table type of outdoor places. If that's what you want, there is Whitecaps in Islip. There is also a place that is a little more "upscale", called Bayside Clam Bar in East Islip and there's Kingstons in Sayville

Kingston's in West Sayville.
maybe even Cull house in Sayville. (that's not right ON the water though.. close to the water, by the ferries)

Nicky's on the Bay in Bay Shore (at the end of the marina) is fairly casual. You can sit inside or out. They have live music at times.

Flo's in Bayport (or Bluepoint?)
JTs on the bay in that same area
The Beach Hut at Venetian Shores in Lindenhurst or Cedar Beach (after 5, non-residents can go)
Also, there is a restaurant in Lindenhurst called Bay Vue and it has a nice rooftop area and the food is decent. It's not fancy or expensive but a little nicer than a clam bar.

I think the Beach Hut would work. The one at Cedar (and maybe the others) takes cash only though.
I like Crabby Amy's in Seaford too. I'm unsure if you're looking for fancy drinks or anything though; from what I remember, Crabby Amy's has beer and wine only.

There is a beach hut at Cedar, Venetian and Tanner. All have music 7 days a week.
