Sorta LV at Macys Spinoff...

So, I was in Herald Sq. today, and I have a gift card. I wanted to look at boots, and I thought after seeing the other post on here that Macys carries LV i would check out the bags too.

So, I am walking around looking-- and go to look at one of the bags, and the guy YELLS at me-- says, excuse me, but you are not allowed to be back there. Meanwhile, I wasn't back anywhere-- this is a store, aren't I allowed to examine something I am considering buying?

It's not like I was with a bunch of people and was just another tourist in Macys, I was alone. I don't think I look like someone who can't buy an LV bag. And, the guy just yelled at me-- not even asking me if I needed sales help. He just yelled and walked away. It was SUCH a turnoff.

This coupled with the fact that my great grandfather was in the luggage business at the same time as the original LV, and he was apparently an anti-semite-- I just won't even consider buying one now.

that is the reason why i will never buy an lv bag because i once stepped into the soho store and every single sales associate ignored me and they didn't offer me help.

for all they know, i could have had all the money in the world to be able to buy something there
which i don't, but still.

Just another reason why I will Never, EVER shop in Macy's.

I went into LV at Macys in Roosevelt field to buy a gift for my mother in law and it was packed! As if they were giving them away. When I asked for help, the saleswoman was very nice. I was astounded when I saw what others were buying and how they were paying. One woman bought a huge bag and paid with three gift cards (each had about $9.00-13.00 on them) and two different credit cards. A man came in with his wife and baby and spent hundreds on sunglasses while his baby was in a broken stroller! Where are our priorties?

The saleswoman asked how many credit cards I was going to use. I was shocked! I said one and that I thought she should wait for the customer to start paying before asking such a question.

Next time, I will send my husband to purchase my bag. Like the bags, hate the stores!

That would really make me mad I personally HATE Macys Herald square and avoid it at all costs

I have never had a problem

but in the city- I prefer the LV counter at Bloomies

Macy's in general freaks me out

I never had a problem in Macy's. As a matter of fact the girls there were so nice and helpful and very personable! I experienced the same thing at LV on 5th...

Yeah, I am normally not a Macys shopper-- but, since I have money to spend there, I gotta go there sometime! And I was near Herald Sq, which historically is a store I LOATHE-- but I know that they will have the best selection of all the Macys nearby.

I know that LV is a lease brand for them, and the workers are technically not even Macys employees most likely-- I am not sure how it works.

I just cannot do business with a brand, that does not treat customers with respect. I don't give a sh!t how exclusive you *think* your brand is.

I understand why they have certain policies-- but there is a better way to execute them, while still making the customer feel like they are there for a shopping experience-- and not be treated like a misbehaving child.

Ughhh that is so rude. I was in LV in Rome last year and I had every intention of puchasing a wallet but left empty handed. I would still be waiting now if I didn't give up! They ignored me and then when I asked to see the wallets the salesperson walked away from me and NEVER came back!

When I was in Barcelona and in an LV store- I couldnt get them away from me-it was probably the Chanel, Burberry, Zenga and Brioni shopping bags we were carrying LOL!!!!!

That's why I buy my LV through the 866 number or eluxury.com- you don't have to deal with rude SA's!

I don't understand WHY these sales reps have such a superiority complex - Who are YOU to turn your nose up at ME?
I'm PURCHASING the bag, you're SELLING it - you're the one at WORK here .....Hello ?? !! So you happen to sell $1200 bags rather than $25 bags? That makes you important? Get over youself - You're not curing cancer !!
