Sorry another potty training q. Anyone's DC reject underwear?
He won't put on briefs and when I put boxers he won't put on pants I don't want to fight about it too much bc I feel like the training is such a delicate time. Thoughts? He is commando right now

as much as you want him to be ready he just isn't. I would stop the training for a bit and resume in 3 months.

Hmm. I'm not sure. On Tue (which was day 1), wed, thur, Fri he only had a few accidents and then sat, sun he had only one accident and it was bc he didn't realize he wasn't done pooping. He even used the travel potty in the car. He also used the potty last night and this morning without being asked if he needed to go. He just went on his own. I feel like we are way too close to stop.
It's not that he wants diapers, he just doesn't want underwear. He actually fought a lot about his diapers too but I was very consistent and firm (obviously he can't just pee and poop everywhere) but I'm afraid to be too forceful with the underwear and turn him off to the potty all together.

Well, the 3 day potty training method specifies no undies, and just pants when going out, so I would just continue on with the pants for now. Eventually he will take to the undies.

I bought Thomas and Mickey a few months ago before we started trying- now he's more into Toy Story so it's worth a shot I guess to buy more.
I actually thought they were too tight (2/3t shrunk a lot in the initial wash) which is why I switched to boxer briefs- but then he thinks they are shorts and doesn't want to put anything on top of them!

Oh, that's very interesting. Well, then we're following the 3 day potty method I say!
I've actually heard of that method around here but just gave it a random go on our own and we seem to be progressively successful as the days go on (less this issue).
Tomorrow he has "school" though. I actually can also slip his boxers into his shorts before I quickly put them on him, so he won't notice. That would work for a few hours of school but at home he notices and gets mad about his "two pants".

Do you think if he saw his dad's underwear, and that he wears them under his clothing, he would be more inclined to wear them himself?

That would work if my dh wore underwear! Jk, I'm gonna push that. Good idea.
