Sooooooo Nervous UPDATE
Hi Girils,
I am sheduled for the HSG test Thursday. I am so scared it will be super painful. I am going by myself. Please tell me your experiences with it. TIA!!!!
UPDATE:: had the test this morning. It wasnt too bad after all, just bad AF cramps afterward and spotting. Everything looked normal!

do not worry. take 2 advils or motrins an hour before.
mine was painful, but only b/c i did not take anything in advance. the pain lasts a few seconds, maybe a minute, only when they insert dye. you will be fine!!

I only had mild period cramps during the HSG, it really wasn't bad at all. I took 2 Advil about half an hour before and I'm sure that really helped. I went to Nassau Radiology and highly recommend them.

It's really not that bad. The discomfort lasts only a short period of time. Then it's over! Good luck

Like the other girls said take some motrin/advil 1/2nd before. For me it was uncomfortable but not unbearable. Good luck!!

I agree with the others, it's not that bad. It is uncomfortable. I had some intense cramping when they injected the dye but that only lasted about 30 seconds. Good luck!

Happy everything went well!!!! There have been stories of some women getting pregnant after their HSG. Let's hope so!!
