Sooo Nervous!!!!
I'm sooo nervous that something is going to go wrong. We tried for 5 months to get Pregnant and we finally are, and I'm beyond overjoyed. But I'm freaking that something is going to go wrong. My numbers are really good right now, I go to get my first sono on 5/20 and I keep feeling that they aren't going to see anything or no heartbeat or something awful....How did you girls get through this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Sooo Nervous!!!!
I also feel really nervous. A lot of friends have gone through troubling experiences lately and it has just opened my eyes to all of the possibilities. I'm just trying to focus on the positive.

Nope they said that five-six months wasn't a long time and it was average...I am 28 and didn't see how that was average, but hey I'm insanely happy it happened!!
they said a tilted uterus means nothing when conceiving

Re: Sooo Nervous!!!!
It's totally normal to be nervous!!!! I am 10 weeks today, and although I felt a bit better after my first sono last week I am back to being nervous again. I think it is the fact that I am a naturally anxious person, as well as the fact that I have wanted to be a mom more than anything in the whole world, and now that it is finally here I am worried it is too good to be true. Try to relax and take it all in - from what the other ladies say the 9 months go so quickly! Everything will be okay.

I'm right around the same time as you, and I'm feeling the exact same way. I think it's normal.

Re: Sooo Nervous!!!!
It's very normal. Worse for some of us than others. I am a HUGE worry wart and let me tell you...it doesn't go away. After every milestone I thought some of my fears and anxiety would subside but honestly...it hasn't. Maybe a little since I started feeling her move but welcome to parenthood- constant worrying about the health and safety of your precious little one.
Just try to talk yourself out of it when you get the nervous thoughts. I always tell myself that what I am feeling is normal but that it is out of my hands and I just have to do what I can to stay healthy and relaxed, that so many healthy babies are born every day without complication and there is no reason I shouldn't be that lucky. It works....most of the time
By the way- congratulations!!!!!!!!!

Re: Sooo Nervous!!!!
I was VERY nervous all throughout my first trimester and I lived for my sonos. (I started off at an RE so I had a lot in my first tri) What got me through was telling myself that there is a higher likelihood of everything going perfectly fine then there being a problem. I tried not to read anything in the pregnancy books on miscarriage, I did not want to freak myself out for no reason. I guess the main thing is to try and keep yourself busy (so the time passes) and enjoy being pregnant. It's a tense first few weeks but before you know it you will be in the 2nd trimester and it's amazing how much more comfortable and relaxed you will feel. Plus, time seems to be flying by now. Weeks 12 through 17 have been a blur BUT I've been able to enjoy my pregnancy more and worry a lot less. I'm sure everything will be fine with you too!! A very happy and healthy 9 months!!

Re: Sooo Nervous!!!!
I am still very nervous too. We tried for this baby for a really long time and I will feel much better once I am into the 2nd trimester. It is so natural to be nervous, you feel all these things happening to your body and you can not help being scared. The 20th will be here before you know it and you will see your little baby!

Re: Sooo Nervous!!!!
we have all been there and are still there! For me it was so hard getting through the first couple weeks but as the days go on and everything is fine, you will be less nervous.
Just try to relax and enjoy being pregnant, thats what everyone on here used to tell me!

Re: Sooo Nervous!!!!
i am not a nervous person by nature, but it's impossible not to be nervous when it comes to your baby. it seems like such a fragile thing to hold onto. i felt a lot better after i saw the heartbeat at 8 weeks but until i started to feel the baby move regularly, i was still a neurotic mess every day worried that something was going to go wrong.
the only thing that really helped me was knowing that i was doing everything i could to ensure a healthy pregnancy, and if for some awful reason i lost the baby, then i knew that it was meant to be, and there was nothing that i could do about it. luckily, i haven't had a single problem so far, and i feel truly blessed every day.

Re: Sooo Nervous!!!!
I was very nervous myself at the begining, I know how you feel... I would have to talk myself down sometimes because I would get in such a panic about something. My DH was worse than me.
I tried to tell myself over and over again.. if something is wrong I can't do anything about it, but if everything is fine than I will have wasted all this time worrying for nothing. For me this seemed to set my mind at ease at times. I am still very nervous with them being twins and all.... but every time we have an appointment I feel it is just another hurtle we have gotten over. One step at a time that is all you can do.

Re: Sooo Nervous!!!!
I've been really nervous too, especially since I've been feeling better recently. I still have symptoms (exhaustion, sore boobs, etc), but I'm not queasy any more. I certainly don't want m/s, but it would make me feel more at ease if I were still queasy. I have my first appointment in about 1 week so hopefully I'll feel better after that.
