Sonohysterogram-update
Has anyone ever had this done? I am going tomorrow to have this done and getting my blood test results as well. Just wondering how you're experience was if you had this test. I assume it is similar to an HSG so from what I read I will probably take some tylenol/advil beforehand.
Update- I was so not prepared for the pain! It hurt so much worse than I was anticipating I did all I could not to cry as it was being done. I cried as soon as the dr. left the room. There were some problems, he had to dilate me, he said my cervix was very tight, the balloon deflated & had to be redone, uh it was a mess. The good thing is that it didn't last too long and he said everything looked good and at least one tube is clear, he couldn't see the other. Next step is DH's sample on Friday.

It is not as bad as HSG and is over in seconds, bit like a "wet" pap smear, I don't think you'll need the advil. Good Luck

yes, its a water sonogram...I had no pain, over in no time, and very messy

It was uncomfortable but it only lasts a few seconds. Take some advil before you go in. Good luck!

When I did mine I had some minor AF tyoe cramping afterwards.
It was quick- def. agree with the advil.

For me too but it still wasnt unbearable. I felt more cramping than I did with the HSG. I also got 2 atavan (sp?) to relax me before the test which helped. Good Luck!
