Sonogram Question

Do most people have any sonograms after 20 weeks? Just wondering if I have any left?

Sonogram Question

My dr told me that I have a growth sono around 32 weeks. I think that's it though. We did another one for a 3D sono but we had to pay out of pocket for that package that my doctors office offered.

Re: Sonogram Question

I was told that in theory I would get 3 sonos (8, 12, and 20 weeks)...this is my third pregnancy and I have always had way more than that (measured small, low fluid, etc).

Re: Sonogram Question

I had a sono at 6 weeks...then at 9 weeks because my dates were off. Then I had the 12 week sono, the 20 week sono and then because theyt hought I had a huge baby, they sent me for a growth sono at 26 weeks. I am 33 weeks now and have another growth sono today. Not sure what happens after that!

Re: Sonogram Question

I didn't even realize there was a set sono schedule. I guess because I'm high risk? I had one at 7 weeks, one at 9 weeks, I have my NT coming up right at 13 weeks....and I think my doctor said I can expect to get sonos every 4 weeks or so for the whole pregnancy. I know I have to do a fetal echo so that's an additional one, and I have to go for at least 2 of my own cardiac check ups and I think they will do them there too. It seems like by my next one at 13 weeks I'll already have had the same number that most people have? Do they decide based on each patient's medical history?

Sonogram Question

Usually just 3 (confirm pregnancy, 12 week & Level II at 20) unless there is an issue you would get another. I had one at 28 weeks to confirm my placenta moved up otherwise there wld be no reason for an add'l sono.

Re: Sonogram Question

I had 5 between 5-8weeks with my RE
9w with OB
12w for NT scan
16w for who only knows what
20w for L2
And I have to go back next week because baby wouldn't cooperate to get all the shots.

Don't get me wrong I love seeing my Chat Icon but I am getting worried as to why they keep recommending sonos!

Sonogram Question

I'm spoiled. My ob does a sono at every appt. 12w and 20w is with a sono tech in the office.
