sonogram for baby
Has anyone had experience with this? My DD has to go on Saturday for one of her abdomen to check her kidneys, tubes & bladder after having a urinary tract infection.
Has anyone gone through this? Any info re the procedure?

My nephew had this to check for possible hip displacia (sp?). It was pretty much the same type of u/s like we get whene we are preggo.

Same with my DD. She had to get one for her hips when she was 3 weeks old, b/c of the position she was in when I was pregnant. The tech put her on the table, moved her diaper and used the sono wand on her. oh and they warmed up the gel for her (of course they never did that for me when I was getting my pg sonos!!)

Thanks, I'm getting nervous since I have so much problems changing her and getting her dressed lately. I am thinking about pulling out a new little toy she can hold & look at to keep her still.

DS had one at 6 mos to check for possible undecended testicle. He was very good. It was quick too. We had it done at LIJ (Schneiders) and the techs deal with babies and kids all the time, so they were wonderful!
