Sono question
I got a sono at 7w with my RE, I didn't see my OB until I was 9w. The first appt. with the OB they did a sono, checked for the hb, I had a pap smear (hadn't had one that year yet so I was due for one), took a urine sample, weighed me, and they just went over things like what I could/couldn't eat, and if I had questions.

i had a sono every week while i was with m y RE until I hit 8w. When i moved forward with my OBGYN, i had a sono every week until 10w and then I had to wait 2 weeks until i was 12w for the next sono

but generally, if you have no issues and you conceived naturally, your OB will have you come in very early to confirm pregnancy and then again at 7/8w to see a heartbeat and confirm the pregnancy is viable. the next sono after that would be at 12w

my first appt was at 7 weeks and they did an internal sono. they measured the baby to confirm the due date and see if it was on track from my lmp. we were also able to see the heartbeat at that appt.

i had an internal sonogram at my first appointment at 7 weeks to confirm the pregnancy- saw the heartbeat and everything looked good. Then they took about 8 tubes of blood to test for a million things. Then I just had a pelvic exam because I had already had my annual and pap smear just a couple months earlier. if not, you'll get your pap smear done that day too. Then met with the Dr. for a while to talk about history and get some information about the process, what not to eat, etc. My next appointment is the NT Scan next Monday at 12 weeks.

I had my first one at 6.5 weeks. to confirm the heart beat and dating after a previous mc. Mine was a regular sono, not internal. they said they would only do the internal if they couldn't detct the hb.
For my practice, a sono this early isn't routine. They usually wait till 12 weeks to do a sono unless there is an issue.
