Son doesnt want to ...
Wear a costume, I put it on and he freaks, I tried a costume that he loves to nothing is working... Am I the only parent who's child freaks when having to get dressed up? He's just about 2 1/2

My son was the same way until he was four. I didn't really push. I talked to him about Halloween and would point out fun costumes. Eventually he became obsessed with superhero costumes and now he can't wait for Halloween.
I think costumes and Halloween can be confusing and scary for young kids.

I would not make a big deal about it with him. When other kids come to your house to trick or treat have him help you answer the door. Let him see the other kids are dressed up and ask him then would he like to dress up and go trick or treating too. If yes, go to a few homes on your block, if no, that is really ok too.

not alone.. AJ didnt want to either.. then she saw other kids.. and pictures of her costume on others.. I figured with or without. I didn't push it. Actually at 2 and a half, her costume was basically just an outfit, add wings and tutu.. very low key. She wore it finally
