More than 100 men and women from across Long Island descend on Riverhead Raceway each weekend to share a common passion — the thrill of racing.
And today, Thursday, you’ll get a chance to meet them — and check out their cars, up close and personal — at a free event downtown.
Be sure to bring your cameras.
The “Meet the Drivers” event will kick off behind Cody’s BBQ on East Main Street at 6 p.m. and run until about nightfall.
The racers will be parked alongside the regular gathering of classic car enthusiasts at Riverhead’s “Cruise Night” event.
And don’t forget to check out the driver profiles every weekend online at riverheadnewsreview.com and in the News-Review newspaper.
