Something fun for inspiration that I am going to try...
so, I subscribe to Saveur magazine and every installment comes with an Agenda, which is basically a bunch notable food events and happening from around a world.
por ejemplo, today is Venerdi Gnoccolaro in Verona, Italy (one of my favorite towns) soooo, we are doing italian and hopefully gnocchi tonight.
tomorrow is the birthday of Momofuku Ando (founder of Nissan Foods) so ramen soup would be a nice lunch recipe to try.
it's also the birthday of Charles Goodnight, inventor of the chuckwagon..so chili and skillet cornbread is another option.
3/7 is Kathari Deftera in Greece (which translates to clean Monday) and they forgo meat, certain fish, poultry, eggs, and dairy. a good day for some grilled squid with lemon, lagano, and taramosalata.
3/8 is Paczki Day in a Michigan town and how the polsih community there celebrates Fat tuesday...with a form of Jelly donut 
3/25 is the birthday of Daniel Bouloud....steak frites anyone?
and it's also Vaffeldagen or Waffle Day in Sweden. perfect dessert to acompany the frites.
so I am going to try to honor these events some time in March, even if not on the actual day...to bring something new to the table, quite literally.

me too! Although I would probably do it fri or sat nights bc week nights are my tried and true easy dinners usually

yeah this is me too. it's too hard to be creative when you're trying to get dinner on the table with a toddler desperate to stir whatever you got on the stove.  
at least if we know what's going down in a given month, it can kind of drive the creativity. at least that is my hope.
so, who's making gnocchi this weekend!

while I would love to say homemade, uh, no. I am working towards doing it myself but it takes more prep than I have time for right now.
ETA: I am going to try to make ramen soup Sunday.
