someone hijacked my amazon.com acct and ordered a bunch of stuff
when i checked my email today, i had a zillion emails from amazon about orders i never made.
luckily, whoever did this didnt use a valid credit card, so the orders were cancelled.
i am soo pizzed!!!
i called amazon, but they said their systems are down and i should call back in an hour!
grrrr!!!!

did you ever post a link on here leading to amazon? I was about to yesterday when I realized the link would have lead right into my amazon act.

really? hmm... i'm not sure... but it's possible....
yeah someone asked for help finding a certain thing, found it on amazon. about to post link to, then right before I did i took another look at the site and amazon had me already signed into site.. so if I did post, everyone would have had access to my act.

i probably have posted a link to an item while helping someone search for something!
sh!t!!!!
i just looked further into it, and it's my old acct from b4 i was married- it had expired credit card info saved on it.
i deleted all my personal info.
AND i just got a call from our current credit card's security dept, but since my DH is the primary, they wouldnt speak to me about the issue.
what a day...

It's highly unlikely anyone could get into your Amazon account with a link you posted here. YOU can get into it from your own link because of the cookies on your PC.

It's highly unlikely anyone could get into your Amazon account with a link you posted here. YOU can get into it from your own link because of the cookies on your PC.
Ive seen on the parenting boards, posters posting sites to their childs pictures.. and it gave access to their accounts, wouldnt that be the same thing?

i finally got amazon.com on the phone and everything is fixed- money refunded, etc. and our credit card co is also on the case....

I also got an email about someone using my amazon account. I don't think I have ordered from them in about 3 years.

For me they would have to send the items to an address I have shipped to before or they ask for updated credit card info--so if the person didnt have the card they were screwed.
