Someone help me w/ how much meat I need for a dinner party?
I am having 6 people over next Saturday night for a dinner party. I plan on making sausages, meatballs, and pasta, bread, salad, dessert etc. How much meat do I need for the meatballs? how much sausages? bread? pasta? I am going to cook it the night before and put it in trays and just reheat the next day. They are big eaters, so want more then enough w/ some leftovers. Thanks in advance!
I am also putting out before hand cheese and crackers, salami, chips, dip etc.

I usually estimate a total of half pound per person - before cooking since the meat shrinks.
You are making a heavy menu, so this should be enough, if you want leftovers (and this stuff all freezes well), you could also just add an additional pound so have 4 total pounds of meat. I would probably do 2.5 pounds of meatballs and 1.5 pounds of sausage - me, dh, and a few of our friends I know like meatballs more but maybe your crowd is different? This is a lot of food, it will def leave you with leftovers
For 6 people, I would probably do 2.5 boxes of pasta - since you are having the bread, appetizers, and meats. If you want leftovers you can make 3 (again, this will freeze well).
For bread, I would probably do one baguette - cut it at least into 12 slices which is 2 pieces per person.
