Some questions about weaning...and the emotional aspect for mommy
So my goal was to EBF for 6 months...and we made it there. I started to slowly wean her by dropping one feeding a day and giving her formula.
If I drop a second feeding and only nurse am and pm...will I produce enough for those feedings? (She just started solids BTW).
Can I start using level 2 nipples now that we are weaning? Bottle feedings take forever on Level 1.
Also-did anyone want to wean then realize they may not be emotionally ready? Last night DD was getting mushy and she turned to my breast to nurse (for comfort b/c she had just eaten an hour before) and I got so emotional thinking of her doing that after she is weaned. Am I making any sense? lol.

sorry I have no information about weaning because yes I am too emotional to stop... 6 months was my goal and now i'm going on 8 months... good luck

oh, i know i'm going to cry when DD weans. i get emotional just thinking about not nursing anymore and that's so far off! i've become addicted and 8mos in, i have no intent to stop!

I hear you. DD is 15 1/2 months old and I can't stop either.

i took ME long to wean not DS. I cried when I realized that the night before was to be the last time I nursed him.
I went thru so many emotions..... like what if I never nurse again????
It was the best thing ever..................
