some questions about chicago

i know there are quite a few girls that have been there and even some that may live there - so i'd appreciate any info
i have stayed in a sheraton before and been happy... there is a "four points by sheraton" that looks like it is located on or maybe a block from the mag. mile and "sheraton chicago hotel & towers" that says it's 3 blocks from the mag. mile.
which would be better? any recs?
can chicago be done by walking - or is public transportation easy enough to deal with or will i need to rent a car?

also, aside from restaurants - tell me what to DO while i am there. i would be 5 months preggo so bars are out
is 2 full days and one part day enough time? too much/too little?

Don't rent a car. Walking will get you most places & their trains are easy enough to navigate.

There is a ton to do, especially if you like museums, which is what I usually end up doing.

Popular touristy things:

The Field Museum (natural history)
Shedd Aqarium
The Art Institue of Chicago
The Museum of Science & Industry (a little bit on the outskirts, but accesible by train)
Lincoln Park Zoo (free!)
Brookfield Zoo (also outside of the city, but bigger than the LP zoo)
Architecture Boat tour
Navy Pier (I find it boring, but there is a ferris wheel, and people seem to like to go there)
Willis Tower (formally known as Sears Tower)
