This happened twice in my office.... I lost 2 laptops in 3.5 years... good thing is you get a brand new COMP!!

We think it was an inside job. I work in a hotel and we recently had a lot of engineers (aka handymen  ) in our office bc the AC broke.
All my files, gone....2 years of work. The only good thing is that I get a computer!
I wonder how long I can use "sorry I cant find that file - my computer was stolen" scapegoat!?!
