When did you go from 1 meal/jar a day to 2?

Also, did you always serve the jar of veggies/fruit with cereal?

We started with one meal at 6 months, went to two meals at 7 months, and three at 8 months. I pretty much always gave oatmeal in the morning but not always with her other meals.

Step out of your head!!!!!!!! LOL

I think we went to 2 meals a day at 6 months. We switched it up....sometimes he got cereal sometimes not. It was whatever I pulled out of the closet and what I felt like.

DD has cereal with fruit and milk in the morning for breakfast.
for lunch and dinner she has milk and a veggie and a protein (half a jar each, so one full jar, if she's really hungry she might have 1½ jar)
she also has a snack between lunch and dinner, puffs.
she is 10 months

Ok for those that do fruit in am and veggie in pm, do you introduce more than one at a time? I haven't introduced enough things yet to be able to do a fruit in the am and a veggie in the evening.

Ideally, this is what I want to get through but I'm still not done introducing veggies before moving on to fruit.

Is there a reason you don't want to do fruits until you get through all the veggies?

I know people will say they don't want their kids hooked on the sweets but IMO they will either like something or not. We alternated between fruits and veggies and my DS loves both. He def has favorites but he eats plenty of veggies.

All people, babies included, have a tendency to like sweet. Feeding babies veggies first will not change that.

Just try a food and move on. It doesn't matter what the food is.

We started DS on apples, bananas, pears - all sweet. He loves peas and carrots, too, so I don't think it matters what you start on.

No reason. Even the veggie jars have sugar in them. Just the way I'm doing it. Started with orange veggies bc I heard they were easier to digest.

i started bringing in fruit before he tried every veggie. Iwould only introduce one new thing a day for a couple of days though. So if i started a new fruit on monday, he would get that for two days and get a veggie at night he tried before. If I gave a new veggie at night then i would give a fruit he had tried already too - just in case he had a reaction then i would know what it was from.
