Solid food and constipation?
DS is 6m, we started solids almost 2 weeks ago and ever since then he has been pooping less (sometimes going almost 3 1/2 days) and as of the last few days straining while trying to go :( I am only making him sweet potatoes, butternut squash and pears so I dont understand what is causing it?! He is still drinking 30 oz of bm a day so that hasnt changed either. Anyone else have this experience?

Solid food and constipation?
Sweet potatoes can cause constipation. DD also got constipated around that time with introduction to solid food as their digestive system is learning how to adjust. Try giving prunes. Even at 25 months I still give her pureed prunes when she is constipated and it works like a charm!

Prunes or very ripped bananas should help as well

Wow never knew that about the sweet potatoes! My older 2 never had this problem at all its so frustrating. Good news is he finally went after he had some prunes for breakfast so Ill have to keep giving them to him until he is used to the solids :)
