Socks for sensitive/sensory issue kids
My dd is turning 5 and she’s usually fine sensory-wise with clothing (has some other minor sensory issues), but since this fall, she’s been refusing socks because of the seam. I’ve bought a whole bunch of different ones to no avail. Does anyone have a particular brand/style of sock that doesn’t have a seam or doesn’t have a bothersome seam? Tia!

I found cute tie dyed socks at the sketchers outlet in Deer Park that don’t seem to bother my daughter at all.

Socks for sensitive/sensory issue kids
I was just going to post this, after having to toss an entire package of socks because my son won't wear them and had a fit this morning over socks. Do they make ones with no seam???

Silly question, but couldn't you wear the socks inside out?

Theoretically speaking yes, but my dd is so stubborn, she won’t actually wear them inside out

Yes but if you read carefully, they all have some sort of seam somewhere, and some brands are upwards of $15 per pair. I’d love to hear some suggestions from moms before I randomly start picking!

Could it be that she needs the next sock size up? That's what happened with my son. We've had luck with Tek Gear from Kohls.

My mom always turned my socks inside out so the seams didn't bother my toes.

My daughter sounds like yours. Socks were a nightmare for us for most of the age of 5. She's 6 now. The socks that currently work for her (and I say currently because it has changed in the past) are no-show socks from Payless. They come in black, pink, white, and nude. They are the only socks she wears. We've also had success with the no-show socks from the Skechers store.
