Different doctors will caution against different things. Many doctors say to steer clear of sushi & soft cheeses. Some doctors caution against cold cuts. I would check with your doctor and see what he/she suggests are the "no-no's". Obviously stay clear of caffeine or have as little as possible.
ETA: My doctor doesn't really caution against anything in moderation.

Some Dr's are more cautious than others, mine said to stay away from caffeine, alcohol and drugs, and processed ham.

Re: So what r the basic what can i eat and not eat??
Every Dr. is different -
My "No" list is soft cheeses or any cheese w/ "mold" (as he described blue cheese.......)
cured meats (salami, prociutto)
Certain fish like Tuna and Swordfish (once every week or 2 is ok but that is all)
He said 2 cups of caffiene is ok - but i'm not really a soda/coffee drinker ..... He also said coldcuts like turkey breast, ham and roast beef (all which I don't eat anyway) were fine ..... but other Dr(s) have these on the "No" list .......
