So what exactly is Braxton Hicks?
How does it feel?...
I dont think I have had any yet...is that OK at 27 weeks?

When you get them your tummy tightens up and they can be either painful or not.
If it's your first it is normal to not get them until closer to your due date. With my first I didn't get them until past my 30th week, and they didn't hurt. This is my 3rd and I have had them since like, 15 or 16 weeks, and they freakin' hurt!

They feel similar to contractions. It's your body preparing for what's to come.
I am 37w3d and still don't think I have felt a BH contraction yet.
Although everytime I have had a Non Stress Test I have had contractions, just never felt them.

To me it just feels like my whole belly gets tight for like 30 seconds. It gets rock hard and almost feels like a muscle cramp. I have only gotten one at a time about 3 times in the last few weeks. I am 28 weeks.

i wouldn't have really known I was having one if the nurse didn't point it out to me once. my belly gets tight, sometimes the whole thing and sometimes only part of it feels very tight. mine haven't hurt or stopped me from doing anything, like eating or talking. changing positions or drinking water sometimes stops them. they aren't in a regular pattern either.
