So upset after general inspection
Me and DH found this amazing house at an amazing price. We fell in love with it immediately and we put in an offer on it. We got our prequal and the owner accepted our offer. The contractor went in there for the inspection and pretty much the whole plumbing system needs to be redone and the chimney needs to be replaced. The owner said that he's not fixing these items. My real estate agent suggested not buying this home mainly because of the plumbing problem. Besides replacing all of the pipes we don't know if the sheetrock needs to be replaced due to mold and if there is any damage inside the walls due to the pipes leaking. 
It makes me so angry that I have to start looking again because of someone else's careless mistake. The owner didn't properly winterize before he left the house.

I'm pretty sure the owner knew this and is selling this house as is.
They are not going to tell you this stuff outright that's why you have an inspection.
Sorry you have to keep looking but better safe than sorry.

This happened to us also. The owner & REA already knew about the major problems but let us waste our money anyway. My inspector stopped the inspection and didn't charge us the whole amount & we walked away.
I was so damn angry about it that I posted here for anyone looking in the town the house was to FM me first so I could warn them not to waste their time or money. I wonder how many hundreds of dollars were spent on inspections that never resulted in the sale.
Sorry you have to keep looking but there are much better things out there. We wound up with a house that had one major repair (cesspool) and everything else was in working order. I hope you have the same luck for the next one.

i know this is upsetting to you but, you neve know what else you may have ruyn into with this house...i would skip it and keep looking......good luck and u will find something!
