So, this is it!
I had my IVF consultation today. No one warned me it would be 3 brutal, long hours! My head is pounding at this point.
But the nurse was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo helpful and went through each medication, each injection, showed us what to do and went through everything in serious detail.
DH and I nearly rolled over in hysterics when she told us about the sperm pre-testing. Apparently they inject his sperm into a hamster egg to see how it fares????  I've never laughed so hard in my life
So, anyway, we agreed I'd start my cycle while we are in Israel - I will start my BCP while we are away and will start the Lupron when I get back, with an estimated transfer date the first week of November

Oh my GOD - i'm soooooo not telling Dave that...and if our doc doesn't tell us that - i'm asking - just to see his reaction!!!!
i was told to expect 2 hours - but 3 - wowza!!!

The most bizarre part of the conversation is when she told us about the hamster eggs. Dh looked like he was going to fall out of the chair so the nurse jokingly asked, did you have a hamster as a pet? And I responded with, no, but soon we will have one as a child!
