So that wedding I am attending in November...
I am pretty sure I want to wear a strapless dress, since I've lost weight and I would never normally wear one. Church is at 3pm. Since it is November I think I will wear my ruffle trench coat.
So do I need to cover my shoulders in church? I will definitely take off my coat to be more comfortable. Should I just carry a wrap with me? Or should I get a black blazer that I wear as my coat (and potentially freeze) but can keep on during the ceremony?
What would you do?

I would get a wrap or a shawl. A lot of churches do have rules about bare shoulders, but I think they really only pay attention to the bride and the BP.

I have a black crochet pashmina that is a shimmery material. It has fringe on the ends. Do you think that would be good?

Definitely a wrap. It's just respectful to cover your bare shoulders at church, plus, it might be chilly. I think a blazer would be too much. And this way you can still wear your trench coat.
