So, tell me about these Zumba classes
I read some old posts but I want to get a feel for what it is like. I'm not much of a dancer but back in the day, I loved my aerobics and step aerobics classes. I am now very deconditioned but looking for something fun and healthy and a bit more current. Good music will be a major plus for me!!!!!! What can I expect?

I love them...with the right instructor.
Its basically repetitive dance steps...the more shaking and stomping you do, the more you burn.
Its belly dancing, salsa, reggetone...really fun

My gym offers it and it really depends on the instructor how good it is. I've never taken it, but with the right instructor, I've seen people burn up to 500 calories in the hour. And the music is usually latin, with some pop, it's loud and fun.
