So sick....
I have had a terrible sore throat all through Saturday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Today my throat is a little better but now I am coughing and sneezing, all congested. I have been miserable - and am STILL waiting for my Dr. to call and tell me what I can take.
If I HAD to get sick, why couldn't it have been when the Dr. was working??
Sorry, just needed a pity party...

Thanks, I spoke to the Dr - he told me to take Afrin spray, Benadryl and lots of liquids and use a humidifier (which I have been doing). I was a little concerned about what to take because I take daily injections of Lovenox and I didn't want to jeapordize anything.
Oh and I am taking Ricola too...but I still feel like cra_p on a cracker

Be careful with the beandryl. You may find it dries you out too much if you are alrready congested.
Can you ask if you can take Sudafed?

i am the biggest fan of the neti pot. it's a pot shaped to fit into your nostril and you put warm water and sea salt into in. it totally clears out your nasal passages and gets all the mucus out. i bought mine years ago in a health food store, but i've even seen them in cvs.
i really recommend them. it's totally safe and will not interfere with pregnancy or any injectibles you are on.
