so mad right now
after rescheduling my level II 3 times, i got a message today that they have to cancel my appt tomorrow
My dh didn't get home til around 4:20 which is when he call me to tell me they left a msg.
I called back and they said i could reschedule at north shore because they were helping with the cancellation of appts, so i called north shore, and the department i need are already gone for the day
so i called my drs office, and they apologized but said that north shore is the only other place they would send me.
I took 1/2 a day tomorrow and dh was going to leave work early so we could be at huntington at 1:45.
Now if i call in the am who knows if they are going to be able to take me!
my blood is boiling

 I'm so sorry...I remember when they first rescheduled you, I can imagine how miffed you are...How about Manhasset Diagnostic Imaging? or one of the places out by you? Maybe if you explain the situation, they won't have a problem doing it for you (just get a script from your doc if you don't already have one?)

Sweetie I am so sorry.
I needed to see the Madonna FMM specialists and they wanted to schedule me like 1.5 weeks later. I had my doctor call personally and got in the next day-perhaps let your doctor know this is really stressing you out and perhaps can call and communicate teh discomfort/inconvenience this is causing you.

thank you girls.. I left a msg at north shore for someone to call me. I think they open at 8:30, so i'm going to give them til around 9 and i will call them back if i dont hear from them.
If they cant schedule me tomorrow i will definitely call my gyno again and explain how upset i am over this and ask that they please get me an appt tomorrow.
I've been waiting so anxiously to go and then for them to cancel the day before, it just got me so angry.
I really hope they can take me tomorrow

I know-the level II is our most anticipated appt. Please relax and try not to let this stress you out. Your doc may just be the answer

I dont know what exactly is up with them at Huntington...Something apparently is going on with the appointments with the perinatalogists. What I dont understand is that they arent there today...(antepartum is only there on Tuesday and Friday) so I dont know who called you. They originally scheduled appointments until 2:30 but then they switched and no longer make appointments past 1:30.
I have an appointment at North Shore Manhasset on Friday for a Cervical Check. When I was at Huntington on May 1st they said that they didnt have any appointments for this week and that North Shore was taking their overflow..the only problem is that when you call North Shore they dont really appear to be aware of this!
Fortunitely I think this is only a temporary problem and one that will be fixed soon. So far I have been really happy with the perinatalogist there....

okay, so i guess huntington is your hospital too! My first appt was at 2:30, then they called to switch it to 2, then they called to switch it to 1:45..this was a few weeks ago. Now, the day before, they cancel! I was told to ask for a specific person at north shore but when i called, she was gone, only the switchboard was there.
i'm just annoyed, and i really hope north shore can take me tomorrow.

Ahhhhh maybe one of the doctors left..maybe that is what happened..There was a man and a women..Ive only seen the male Dr...Dr Bernesko (spelling? is FANTASTIC) as annoying as it is the appointment with him is really worth it. You can see him at North Shore also.

Oh that really sux. Maybe if you call them 1st thing in the AM and explain to them about taking a 1/2 and getting the cancellation message too late they will be able to accomodate you.

You will really really like him...he is great at explaining things. I have never been that impressed by a doctors bedside manner before.
