So, looks like Sasha will be available for playdates on LI this week...
Ugh.. the apartment nightmare continues.
I posted on Tuesday night about our leaks in BOTH of our bathrooms. So, we have been displaced since Wed AM, and I have been staying at my moms. The guys needed to come in, remove the ceilings, clean out any mold and fix the leaks. They were only able to immediately fix one bathroom, as the other is a MAJOR reconstruction problem.
NOW, they need to put the bathrooms back together. While it will be safe to have Sasha in the apartment, so they say with what they are doing, there will be guys working there all day-- so, I am thinking, not the best place to be with an EBF baby, who needs to nap every 1.5 hours.
The most annoying thing is that the reason why this is happening, is because the owner of the apt upstairs has his niece living in the apt for the summer or something. The apt rarely got used during our time there-- so, if a regular resident lived there-- these problems would have already been apparent, would have been fixed-- and we would not have to deal with this with a small baby at home.
Her sleeping is totally regressing, since she is now in a new place, in a PNP (which she never has been before) and is just sorta thrown off. I think she is even more need of sleep training now, as I do not want this time out here to start bad habits.
The upshot is that I am here and can help my mom when she comes home from the hospital (she had hip replacement surgery this week).
But regardless, this whole situation is a total, major, f*cking PITA!
