pedicure on Saturday. Should I tell them NOT to rub my feet? (although that's the best part)

Re: So I'm definitely going for a

I was told by my doctor - I could go for a pedicure now (at 34 1/2 weeks) but try not to have the massage. She said if I want one with a massage - to schedule it closer to my due date - cause there are times that it may start labor. She told me she would feel better if I went during my 38-39 week

I had pedicures with both pregnancies. They have to really rub in a certain spot for it to stimulate the uterus. I always had the massage.

I just had a mani and pedi yesterday and I am 36 weeks... I enjoyed every minute of both the foot and hand massages. Go for it! I will do it again in 2 weeks if I'm still around!

I think I read it here to be careful with the massages b/c they can cause contractions. I'm only 8+ weeks, but I don't want to chance ANYTHING!!!!

edited for spelling

I have been getting them all along, was never told not to. I feel that if rubbing of the feet would help bring on contractions everyone would be doing it at the end!
