So I got the BFP...
now what?? Other than telling DH, what do I need to do? I am totally clue-less here........

Yes, doc appointment would be your first step. Some will want to see you right away to confirm with a blood test/check your levels and some don't want to see you until you are further along. My doc didn't want to see me until I was between 8-9 weeks which was a whole month after I got my BFP.

Besides calling your doctor's office to make an appointment, I'd start taking prenatal vitamins (if you're not already taking them).

def call your Doctor. Just FYI, if you see a specialist for a certain issue, its also good to call them. I had my thyroid removed in January and was told to call and see my endo ASAP once I got a BFP. I actually had the preggo confirmation from my endo two weeks before we saw my OB/GYN.

Well i am not really sure when my last period was, either the last week in April for first week in May, boy I wish I could remember what day!!!!
So does that make it a month or six weeks, I have no idea how to figure this out!!!!

My last period was 4/12 and I'm 7 weeks, 4 days preggos according to my Monday apt. So based off that, I would say you're 5 weeks preggos.

The calculations are based on the date of your LMP. My first appointment was basically an annual exam. I was also sent for bloodwork. I didn't have a sono until my next appointment. Many doctors won't do a sono until you are at least 8 weeks.

I think you'll be 6 or 7 weeks PG, like a PP said many Dr.s like to wait until 8 weeks to do a sono, but since you aren't sure maybe they will do it then to help get a measurement. They will also take some blood.
At my 8 week apt they also did a few vaginal cultures and sent me to a lab to have a bout 8 vials of blood taken

Congrats and welcome!!! Call your doctor and start taking folic acid/prenatals right away. I also went out and bought a few books which helped a lot.

Actually I have been on prenatals since a visit to my OB in March....Done!!
Now is there a list of things somewhere that I need to avoid??
The wine is a scary one, how bad is it if I have had some up until this point?? Not alot but some....

a little wine or caffeine won't harm the baby... but my attitude is that I'll avoid them altogether, since it isn't too difficult.
oh, I forgot, also no artificial sweeteners, and increase your water consumption 
just search the preggo forum for the food lists... there have been many threads on it.... or google foods to avoid in pregnancy
