so I got my first "look small" comment today
so, we went to the Martha Stewart Show taping today, and I was so excited Anne Geddes was there. So I got picked to ask her a question. I introduced myself and said I was 5 months pregnant, with our first, and what tips she could give to capture the little one.
Well after the show we were walking back to Penn Station (mind you anyone there was carrying brown bags with books we got) and these 2 girls made a comment about "the girl who said she was 5 months pregnant and did not look it." We we just feet infront of her.
I was a little hurt. I don't even know them, but I guess it makes me feel less pregnant, if that makes sense!?

Take it as a compliment! You know you are taking care of yourself and the baby and that all is good! Don't let someone who doesn't even know you affect you.
I'd love to see the Anne Geddes episode. When will it be aired? Thanks!

Aw, forget them...it just means you look great! I was kind of impatient for my bump to show up because it didn't seem as real for me without it, but now that it's here, I realize I wouldn't mind at all if I was smaller because I feel like a fatarse standing next to other people. hehe

don't be offended - believe me, you will get every comment in the book before you're done being pregnant. i got "small" comments all the time - except for the restaurant hostess who expressed concern that i wouldn't fit into the booth

aw, sorry people are so weird. I totally understand how you feel about being smaller makes you feel less pregnant. I am on my 3rd pregnancy (2nd at this point- if that makes sense) and I am smaller than I was with my daughter (1st pregnancy). I want to be big already, it's driving me nuts!

i used to get that all the time when i was preggo, I dont know why but it made me feel like crap. Anyhow, I started to really show at about 8-9 months and wound up having a 9lb 10oz boy and everyone thought I was so tiny and small and that my baby was going to be small.- I showed them- lol

I've been constantly told how small I am, meanwhile the baby is about 5.5 lbs, and will probably be 7 and change at delivery (at 38 weeks). And even when I was smaller earlier on, she was also a healthy size.
Enjoy it before you expand much more in your 8th month, like me.

awe thanks girls! I guess I should be happy, but I feel like if we don't say we are execting, no one would know we are pregnant.
The episode airs Nov 5th. Don't be thrown that I say I am from NC. I will be by then
Kathy Black was also there too. It was fun.
