So I got a shellac manicure today...
Today was kind of a day of beauty for me. I was well overdue! 
I read about the shellac here and the rave review. I usually do my own nails but figured I would treat myself. Plus the idea of a manicure staying nice for so long caught my attention.
How nice it was to just walk out and not worry about smudges! And the shine is incredible!
Just a thanks to those who recommended it.

So I got a shellac manicure today...
I just hope it doesn't ruin my nails.
I have pretty healthy and strong nails and not sure i can keep up with shellac. It was 30. Is that standard?

I'm the opposite- my nails are extremely weak naturally and the shellac is the only thing that keeps them looking healthy and allows them to grow.
The place by my house charges $20, but I'm not in long island. I've seen it at many places for $25, so I don't think $30 is too outrageous.

Ahhh I love shellac and miss it!!! I'm nervous to do it while pregnant but the day I have this baby I'm making my appt! I'm so glad you like it!

$30 is about right
I don't do it every time so not sure about long term effects but it never seemed to ruin my nails- you can even take it off at home
It seems to flake right off and not need a ton of soaking/scraping etc.
