So I figured... what the heck - let's try it!
Took Kristina for a walk today, and when I was down the block I realized that I forgot something to drink (for the both of us).
Stopped in at Taco Bell and got a small cup of fruit punch - the only thing that I would even think of giving her... She's not getting any kind of soda for a WHILE.
So, I'm sitting there thinking.... HRM.... she does soooooooooooooo well with the straw sippy.... I wonderrrrrrr...
I put the straw in her mouth, and would you believe that she drank the flipping fruit punch?????
Even a woman in the store was sitting there and was  She proceeded to ask me ummmm... how old is she??? When I told her 8.5 months, she was  , and then she says.... HOW did you teach her to do that?
I said Lady... I don't teach this kid to do anything - she does it when she wants to, and as the past has shown.... it's (edited to add a word) almost all been on an early schedule!
I am soooooooooooo proud of her.

sooooooo cute!!!!!
DS drank from a sippy at a young age too....so cute to see them do it. At first he would tilt the cup and get mad that nothing was coming out. Then on his own he figured out to sip...

Both my girls were drinking from regular kid cups(with straws) at restaurants by 7 months old. I always thought that was a normal age range for that
and who wouldn't suck when something really yummy is in it
How old is she now?

I LOVE when they drink from a straw!! It makes it soooo easy to go out to eat now!!(except for the mess on the floor)

Miranda took to the straw as well. I always wondered if it was because she sucked on the pacifier 24/7. 
It's nice though when they use a straw, a lot more options if you forget a sippy cup.

I have no idea why she caught on so early, but let me tell u.... when she was able to suck the fruit punch out of there, I was soooo happy! I thought I was going to have a real grouch on my hands!

Awww, thats so great!! Julia was 8 months also when she started since I EBF she went right to the sippy so easily!
