So I failed my 1 hour glucose with a 139.....BTDT please come in.
Is this a high number? Does it affect how I will do on my 3 hour?
Do I really need to not eat Christmas cookies this weekend?

it's not high at all---passing is below 130, I believe.

this!!! I know so many girls that failed the one hour and passed the 3 hour. When do you go for the 3 hour? I am sending prayers your way. I am sure you will do fine on your 3 hour

I failed my 1 hr and passed my 3 hr with no issues. Just fast the night before you go for the 3 hr. I did not change my eating habits at all going to the 3 hr I just did not eat after 10pm the night before.

I failed my 1 hour with a 145.
I haven't gotten my 3-hour results back yet. For the 3-hour, you will have 4 blood draws. First, your fasting levels (taken when you first get there). Then you drink the glucose drink. Then you wait and they test your blood at 1 hour intervals for 3 hours.
You have to fast the night before (no eating after midnight).
I'm waiting on my 3-hour results, but I saw the lab scores online and I can see that I'm above the range for 2 of the 4 levels... so I'm not sure what that means but I don't think it's good

139 isn't a super high number. My doc likes it below 135 for the 1-hour test so you aren't very far off.
I was at 154 for the 1-hour and still took the 3-hour test and passed!

I failed my one hour and passed my 3 hour. I forgot to ask what my number was for the one hour. I don't think 139 is high. I bet you will pass the 3 hour. I didn't have GD with my first pregnancy either.

Just wanted to update that my doctor called today and I DO have GD  I have no clue why either... I don't have any of the common risk factors and I didn't have it in my last pregnancy!

What's next?
I am getting a glucometer today and will have to test my blood sugar levels 4x/day. On the 3rd of January, I meet with a dietician for a 2-hour appointment to go over everything.
I hope you have better luck than I do!!!

My first pregnancy with DS last year I failed the 1 hour but passed the 3 hour. With this pregnancy I actually passed the 1 hour and I was surprised. I am sure you will pass the 3 hour.

did you take the 3 hr already> i failed the 1 hr with a 139 also but did pass the 3 hr test and i didnt change my eating habits just fasted in the morning

I failed the one hour with a 130. Last pregnancy, I was 127. Doc said the over/under # is always changing- my old doc and 3 years ago, cut off was 135. Anyway, passed the 3 hour with flying colors- I was kinda annoyed I even had to take it. I'm sure you'll do fine!

I failed the 1 hour with DS. I think I scored a 145 or 149. I passed the 3 hour.

I didn't do the 3 hour yet. Next week.
I'm just gonna watch what I eat. I'm still gonna have sweets, just not as much as I would have.
