So I came home from food shopping....
....to my next door neighbor's Dad cutting my hedges. My DH told me that my neighbor asked about trimming them a little. (They are about 8 ft tall) They are now maybe 3 to 4ft tall and all branches. Now the Dad speaks not a word of English and was halfway done so I didn't say anything. We love our neighbors so I wouldn't say anything anyway but I was kinda  about it. Hopefully they will grow in nicer now at least.

did you want the hedges that short? It's done already and there's nothing you can do about it, but I would not be thrilled if I had wanted them taller so I didn't have to see my neighbors.

I would probably freak out too, but I think that when you cut them that short they come back very nice. I could be wrong, but I think I have seen people do that before. I hope that is the case for you
