So frustrating- Jean related

Ok so what am I doing wrong?
Can anyone shed some light?

I have tried all kinds of jeans- all different brands, styles, cuts, fits... but they always seem to fit great the first time I wear them and get progressively more stretched out and loose.

I don't want to go down a size because then I feel like I can't breathe in them...

But the issue is always that I get that HUGE gap in the back... like you could fit a small person in there with my azz!!

What is causing the back gap? Do I need to get them taken in in the waist?

I am just dying to find a pair of jeans that fit correctly!!! Chat Icon

victorias secret makes a jean thats cut low in the front and higher in the back to prevent the "panty peek" and stretching in the back.

Vittysecrets

i love their jeans

Re: So frustrating- Jean related

it sounds like maybe you have a small waist relative to your booty Chat Icon i would suggest that you try Joe's Jeans -especially the Honey fit.

also, i find certain jeans are just more prone to stretch out, even the non-stretch ones. i try to wash/dry after 2-3 wearings and it gets them back into shape.

Yeah you are right- my booty is by no means big or bootylicious-Chat Icon but my hips and thighs are proportionately larger than my waist for SURE.

I also do the washing and shrinking thing- it's just so frustrating!!

I get that butt gap too. I have 32 inch waist w/43 inch hips.. yup big difference. Ny & Co/GAP/Old Navy seem to be doing ok for my bod.
What brands have you tried?

Re: So frustrating- Jean related

I've tried Victoria's Secret but not those V Cut ones that a PP linked- might try those.

I have tried A&F- forget it- made for teenagers with no butt, hips, thighs

I did try old navy but not recently- I should try again.

The issue is- half the times they fit great in the store than after a few wearings BAM... stretched out and my azz is hanging out!

Re: So frustrating- Jean related

I have this issue with every pair I buy. I bought A&E, A&F, Old Navy, Express, Mandees, Gap, victorias Secret

Ugh all of them are so big in the waist in the back and stretch out.

I might try those VS ones a pp mentioned. My friend also tells me to go get Joes Jeans. But I am finding it hard to go spend $100 on jeans that may not fit me after I wash them a couple times and then feel guilty that I am not wearing them.

But I also have an issue in the length. I am only 5 feet and even short jeans are long sometimes.Chat Icon

If you find anything that fits please let me know haha...and visa versa!

The Gap sells a curved bet that is meant to prevent the gap in the back. it pusched the jeans against your back higher in the back and lower in the front.

if you go in the store and ask someone to show it to you they should all know exactly what youre talking about.

What's the fiber content of your jeans? Are they mostly cotton with a 2% stretch? I find they stretch out the most and lose their shape. Try getting jeans with a higher polyester content. Those don't stretch at all, but I still have somewhat of a gap, but not huge, at the waist.

I know how you feel. I have a butt on the larger side and thick legs with a very small waist. For me, I have to get a size bigger to make up for that. I get the waist taken in.
