so confused about bottles!! someone help
Ok, I am totally confused!!!
I plan on breastfeeding so I got the medela freestyle. That set came with 4 medela bottles. I registered for all Dr.Brown bottles (before I realized that I was going to breast feed) and a Dr.Browns sterilizer, bottle warmer, accessories etc. Tonight, I go to babies r us and they tell me that I shouldn't plan on using Dr.Brown's if I am breast feeding! Now I have a million bottles to return and I am confused on what to get. If you are planning on breast feeding using the medela, what bottles are you buying? I am so clueless and the lady at babies r us confused me more!

I breast feed my daughter and use Dr. Brown bottles. You dont know what your baby will like until you try it. She only likes dr. bown bottles (wide neck) I would def keep the sterlizer and the bottles.

I BF DS and used the plaaytex drop in bottles with no issues. Planning on using them with baby #2 too.
The one thing about dr browns bottles that turns me off is the million little pieces to each bottle. WShing all that would get old reaaaaaal quick at my house.

I plan on breastfeeding and I plan on using dr. Browns bottle. I picked then because I hear they are really good for preventing gas and baby bargains listed them as a top pick along with avent.

What I still don't understand is if you are going to pump you HAVE to use the medela bottles or you have to pour from a medela bottle into a different bottle? The lady at the store said that you can only pump into the medela bottles. I didn't realize that at the time.

What I still don't understand is if you are going to pump you HAVE to use the medela bottles or you have to pour from a medela bottle into a different bottle? The lady at the store said that you can only pump into the medela bottles. I didn't realize that at the time.
I pumped into the Medela bottles. I bought extra bottles. I think I had about 10. I only used the Medela ones to pump into and for storage. DS drank out of Avent bottles. I used the little cooler that came with the pump. It was easy to store the milk in the Medela bottles and carry it to and from work. If DS was going to drink the milk within a few days, I stored the milk in the Medela bottles. If not, I'd pour the refrigerated milk into Lansinoh freezer bags.
