so apparently i am cheap.
i went to destination maternity yesterday looking for work pants.
one of the ladies there was SO nice and helpful. she showed me where everything was and said she's pull some secret fit belly pants from the mimi maternity section (now mind you i'd never been shopping in mimi maternity before)
so my mom and i go to the motherhood maternity section and pull a few pieces for me to try on then head to the dressing room. i try on the two pairs of mimi pants that the lady got for me and loved them - but  when i saw the price tags. one was $88 and the other was $98.
um, i don't even spend that much on pants i am going to wear longer than 6 months 
so i got some $20 and $25 pants from the motherhood section that to me seemed just as nice
i am glad she didn't pull anything for me from the pea in the pod section!!

BUT I went to Maternity Works at the Source...
They have all the Motherhood stuff (pea in the pod, mimi maternity, destination maternity) etc.
they had a sale rack.
I found a two piece (Shirt and slacks) for $19.99!!!

Hey, I'm with you. I don't see the point in buying 90 dollars maternity jeans. If I'm going to spend that kind of money, it's for post pregnancy jeans...as a reward for getting my arse back into shape after the baby.
I was in target yesterday and they had the cutest jeans with the little stretchy band that sits under the tummy. I'm not a fan of the full panel pants. I think they were 25 bucks?
That's my kind of prices!!

I hear ya! I fluctuate so much in sizes when I'm not preggo, there is no way I can afford to spend $100 on a few sizes of pants.

I dont spend $90 on jeans or shirts on my clothes when I am NOT PG, so why would I spend it when I am. I saw long sleeved t-shirts for $85 in one Motherhood store - ridiculous.

At least I know i"m not alone!!! A friend of mine from work recommended that I go to some store on 110 and said to me "the pants were only about $100 each." I was trying not to sound shocked, but I was! I never spent that much on pants before I was pregnant...nevermind now that I can only wear them for a certain amount of time. I am a sale rack girl all the way!

I will not spend that much on pants or a top for that matter, not even regular clothes! That's just crazy to me.
I'd rather put that money towards the baby than towards my pants!
That's why i shop target and gap maternity when its on clearance.

that was destination maternity it's on 110. i am sticking with motherhood maternity from now on!!!

Thats crazy!!!! I would never in a million yrs spend that much on pants. Even if i did like them. You did the same thing i would do. I would get the $20/$25 pants. I actually have to go there for more pants for myself

OMG, I'm sooo with you....
my mom, upon finding out I was preggo, bought me some ann taylor stuff...... very pretty but 
$80 for pants, and $60 for a shirt.
I don't own regular clothes like that! I feel like I don't know what to DO with that pricey outfit.....
