I got nothing. DS does the same thing. He relized he can stand in there. So he does. All he does is stand and whine. Or sit and scream. Next step is getting the bumpers out, because they make a wonderful step for him to get up on. Chat Icon

I have the breathable bumpers in - I put these in once they started really moving around the crib. I like them a lot for the safety reasons, but they also keep the binkys in the crib too (for the most part lol)

If Jack will sleep though Charlie screaming I wouldn't go back to lay him down because it just turns into a game. He needs to learn how to go back down alone and once he does it won't be fun anymore.

Re: So annoyed! Standing in crib....

Yea once Kaydyn started doing this, we let her CIO for a few days at night. She had to learn how to get down because we weren't going to be going in there all hours of the night putting her back down.

Within a few days she figured out how to get up and down on her own and she went back to sleeping 12 hours a night. Every once in a while she will still do it but she goes back to sleep pretty quickly.

Re: So annoyed! Standing in crib....

I feel your pain.

I just recently started putting sleep sacks on DS at night, and found out that 9 times out of 10, he can't stand up in the sleep sack, so YAY!!!!! Maybe try the sleep sack?

Did you lower the crib rails? If so, he should be safe in there. DS did this for a little while, I think he didn't know how to get himself back down. Once he figured that out, he stopped.

Re: So annoyed! Standing in crib....

ds did that for a very brief period mainly because he didnt know how to sit back down.. so after two nights of 1 am wake ups we spent an entire day practicing sitting down... made my life alittle easier...

Re: So annoyed! Standing in crib....

ds used to do this as well, he woke up 2-3 times a night, stiid and screamed until I came to his room... nothing worked, he grew out of it within a month or so...
