So...
I had 4 doctor appointments today.
First bloodwork.
Then to the hospital to meet with the anesthesia.
Then off to the IVF unit to get a tour and explanation of what will happen.
Then back to my RE for an ultrasound and a consultation.
And what came out of it all? I now have 12 little contenders for #2, and they guesstimate that they'll be taking those little buggers out of me on Wednesday.
I'm  and a little  when I think about the IV and the anesthesia

I promise you, the IV / Anasthesia really isn't that bad, it's over quick and you wake up feeling refreshed

Don't worry about the IV! I never had one but that is the least thing that scares me out of this whole process. It will be a much needed nap and one step closer to getting what you want!

Don't worry...you'll be fine I HATE the IV needle, but you know what, if they distract you, you barely feel it....its just the thought of it that had me

It's funny- the IV was the absolute scariest part of IVF for me.  I was absolutely TERRIFIED of it- and got myself very worked up because of it- from the time I agreed to do IVF until I woke up from retrieval.  I REALLY wanted him to do it in my arm and as (my back then - good) luck would have it, he ended up having to do it there anyway!!!
It actually affected me so much that my blood pressure became high on the way there and stayed high thru my retrieval- but when I left they took it one last time and it was 'normal' Those and the PIO shots were what worried me the most (but then the PIO didn't b/c they changed all of my stimming shots to IM) 
Looking back- the IV was so insignificant. Don't worry Beth, you'll do great!!!
