Re: Snow boots
Hunter rain boots are great. They are tall and water resistant. I know you're looking for snow boots but just a suggestion.

Re: Snow boots
I have a few pairs (I lived in Chicago for 5 years) and I like my Sorels for really snowy days, shoveling etc. and I have an Ugg pair that are more like shoes that I wear for everyday when it snows. Sorels are too heavy to wear all day. I also have a Nike pair that are great.

Snow boots
I got a pair of Khombu snow boots and they are good. I actually got them at Century 21 for $20-30. They have a website too.
Other than that, I think North Face makes some nice snow boots but they are expensive. I personally wouldn't want to spend $100+ on snow boots.

I just want to say Hunter Rain boots are not that great in the snow. Even with the liner and another pair of socks, my toes are always cold when I wear them in the snow.

I have a pair of LL Bean ones that are really good. They are slip on boots. My DH has North Face ones that are great as well.

Re: Snow boots
I tried a pair of Merrell's over the weekend which I really like. They aren't cheap but I think they will last a long time.
I also found the Sorels too heavy and a few others were just too much boot. The Merrell's were light and easy to walk in.
