Snip snip...
Ha, funny thread title...
I'm not sure if I'm having a boy or girl, but if it's a boy, we know we're going to have the baby circumsized.
How do I go about getting this done? I'm not jewish, so it won't be a formal bris or anything. Is it just done in the hospital right after the baby is born? Is that considered routine, or will I need to call my insurance and get a case # set up for the baby?
Thanks, ladies!!!

I just took the Baby Basics class with New Baby Belly and they said your Ob-gyn will do it at the hospital either on his first or second day there.

yup, this is correct. it's considered a surgery, so your OB will do it.
my DS had his done when he was 2 days old (day 3 in the hospital) and it took all of 5 minutes.

Our ped. did it in the hospital. I researched which method I wanted them to use and made sure they would do it before I had him circumcised.

Re: Snip snip...
My son was in the NICU. i asked about getting it done while he was there, and they brought a surgeon in to do it. they would only do it though when he was being readied to leave the NICU... hence healthy enough to have the procedure. it took a couple of minutes, they gave one dose of tylenol right after. he took a nap, and never once complained after that point.
