Smart board for home
My daughters favorite thing to do is play school. I'd like to get her something similar to a smart board for Christmas. The ones that they use in school are thousands of dollars so need a cheaper alternative.
I'm not that familar with the technology of it. Was looking at interactive projectors as a possibility. Does anyone have experience with them?

Smart board for home
There's a few options on Amazon. Just check the reviews because some are not rated very highly. There's a few homeschool blogs if you Google it that give information on a few as well.
Just as an aside, Smart Board charges yearly for their software (Smart Board Notebook). The last district I worked in got interactive projectors because Smart Board was charging per computer for their software.

Like pp said, not only is the software expensive but it's a lot of work to make the activities.
Totally not what you asked for but have you seen this. We just got it and dd loves it. It's just like what they likely do in school.

I have one in my classroom its like a big ipad (pretty much) and it drives me craZy using it lol i wouldnt bother

Smart board for home
I would get an all in one computer with touchscreen. While it won't be big like school, it will allow for creative drawing and other features.

Why not just use a giant dry erase board?
My son just started K and I have no idea what a smart board really is.
